Taller Flamenco Itinerante on the one hand is aimed at those professionals who organize flamenco-related activities such as:

• Schools.
• Institutions.
• Foundations.
• Festivals throughout the world.

To all these entities we offer the possibility of presenting a model for attractive and innovative intensive flamenco courses within their regularly scheduled activities.

By the same token, the Taller Flamenco Itinerante is aimed at groups of flamenco-followers:

• Flamenco clubs or peñas.
• Cultural associations.
• Students of flamenco.

People who wish to have the opportunity of receiving high-quality flamenco instruction brought directly from Seville without having to travel there.

The Taller Flamenco Itinerante offers specially tailored courses designed to accommodate the needs and wishes of the organizers in any given locality, adapting to dates and individual objectives.

In order to obtain maximum output from the courses, we have set up system of differentiation which provides for two basic types:

Courses of Technique for Flamenco Dance:

These courses are based on learning what might be called plastic expression of flamenco, the body language of flamenco dance.

Delving into footwork technique, the role of the arms, not only from the technical point of view, for balance, but also from the angle of artistic expressiveness or feminine expression of flamenco dance, are some of the elements dealt with in this course model.

Dance or Choreography Courses:

This is a course based on becoming familiar with specific choreographies for some of the different flamenco forms. For these choreographies recorded material may be employed as well as the possibility of including a live guitarist and/or singer in order to achieve a greater flamenco ambience in the classes.

The selection of forms to be dealt with will depend on the students' level and their own preferences. In any case, past experience indicates that these will be the choreographies proposed by the teachers:

Beginners with Knowledge	Tangos de Málaga / Tangos / Alegrías
Intermediate	Bulerías / Bulerías por Soleá
Upper Intermediate	Soleá / Seguiriya / Taranto / Guajira

The following is a list of guidelines to help students determine their proper level:

• Initiated Beginners' level: Students who have already had previous experience with Flamenco Dance – from six months to two years, once or twice weekly
  
  
• Intermediate level: Students who have acquired a basic knowledge of the different body techniques used in Flamenco Dance – footwork, arms... – and who have already worked with complete choreographies of some basic forms. Tangos de Málaga, Tangos or Alegrías. Between two and three years experience.
  
  
• Advanced Intermediate level: Students who have achieved technical control and possess extensive knowledge of the techniques of flamenco dance and forms among which we would included Bulerías, Seguiriyas and Soleá. At least three years experience.

Both learning possibilities – Choreography and Technique – are excellent tools that provide a rapid and solid foundation to students who attend these courses.

A series of important conditions is required in order to carry out a Taller Flamenco Itinerante:

• Availability of adequate facilities for the presentation of a dance course.



• The existence of a sufficiently large group of people in order to guarantee that the course may be offered.



• At least one person in charge of organizing the project in the destination country.

Taller Flamenco offers its entire commercial infrastructure in order to promote these courses. This infrastructure -see graphic- consists of the Taller Flamenco webpage, as well as promotion in international flamenco magazines, a network of contacts in the destination country and an exclusive mailing-list of people related to the world of flamenco in the country organizing the courses. All these resources will be put at the disposition of each of the organized courses.

In addition to promoting these itinerant course models, Taller Flamenco promises to contribute to the promotion of flamenco and trips to Andalusia, offering discount bonuses to participating students for any activity they might eventually choose to participate in at the Taller Flamenco headquarters in Seville.
